All Time Football Legends XI's (Part 4)

All Time Football Legends XI's (Part 4)

Part 4 is going to take a closer focus on AFC Bournemouth, I am a lot of you may be surprised by the quality of players they have had over the years. Here is what I believe is their best selection.

1). Aaron Ramsdale (Goalkeeper) England international, came through the ranks at Bournemouth, moved on to his current team Arsenal, helping them to 2nd place in the EPL last season.

2). Sylvain Distan (Centre Back) French international, brought in by Harry Redknapp, solid and quick and strong defender.

3). Ian Harte (Left Side Defence) Republic Of Ireland international, signed from Leeds United, scored plenty of goal, created many, expert at fre kicks and penalties.

4). Rio Ferdinand (Centre Back) Hard to believe Rio found his way to Bournemouth, one of the world's best and most expensive defenders.

5). Matt Holland (Centre Midfield) Republic Of Ireland international, could control a midfield with his passing, very elegant, calm and assured.

6). Jimmy Case (Centre Midfield) England international, the tough tackling, no nonsense player every team needs. Liverpool legend.

7). Darren Anderton (Right Midfield) England international, more often on the injured list than the team sheet, but when he was on the field he worked hard, could cross the ball to a very good standard and score the odd goal.

8). Charlie George (Attacking Midfield) England international, made his name with Arsenal mainly, an iconic talent who could score great goals from deep.

9). Jermain Defoe (Striker) England international, goal poaching specialist, always scored 20 plus goals every season.

10). Ted MacDougall (Striker) Scotland international, the big man was exceptional in the air and his bullet headers usually found the back of the net, possessed plenty of skills too.

11). George Best (Left Wing) Northern Ireland international, yes George really did play for The Cherries, one of the greatest to ever to kick a football.

John Bond / Harry Redknapp (Manager / Coach) Tough choice again to pick a manager, John Bond always produced real teams that played attractive and attacking football.

Harry Redknapp was very much in the same mould and is and always will be a legend in Bournemouth. Both of them were not frightened to break the bank on a transfer and both could find a bargain player now and again.
