We now move across the Manchester area to their bitter rivals Manchester United, maybe still the biggest club out of the 2 if not the most currently successful.
1). Peter Schmeichel (Goalkeeper) Denmark international, made impossiple saves look routine, such a big frame to get past.
2). Gary Neville (Right Back) England international, love him or hate him, you can never ignore him.
3). Dennis Irwin (Left Back) Republic Of Ireland international, consistently brilliant, cannot remember seeing him have a bad game.
4). Roy Keane (Midfield) Republic Of Ireland international, lead by example and fear, got stuck into every tackle.
5). Rio Ferdinand (Centre Back) England international, always seemed to be in control, relaxed style of play, had pace to make recovery tackles if needed.
6). Duncan Edwards (Centre Back) England international, I don't think there was a single dad or grandad who ever watched Duncan play that did not say he was the greatest footballer they had watched, my dad certainly did. He could perform to a world class standard equally at centre back or in midfield.

7). George Best (Right Wing) Northern Ireland international, playing here on the right but was better on the left, could do it all and more, footballing genius.
8). Bryan Robson (Midfield) England international, just like Roy Keane, lead the team by example with his tackling and was extremely brave, he could play too, came up with with some important goals when needed.
9). Cristiano Ronaldo (Striker) Portugal international, one of the all time world greats, if not everyones favourite character.
10. Bobby Charlton (No.10 Postion) England international, World Cup winner in the same side as his older brother Jack (Leeds), good ball control, powerful shot, lots of goals.
11). Ryan Giggs (Left Wing) Wales international, the more modern version of George Best.
Sir Alex Ferguson (Manager / Coach) The only candidate, quite simply won it all at Manchester United. Honourable mention of course to Sir Matt Busby.
