It all started in 1979....

Hi all ...... with excitement, but with mixed emotions and trepidation, I announce that this will be my final week working for Stellantis before I take 'early retirement' on the 30 June 23. The photo is where it all started back in 1979, at Fiat UK on the Great West Road Brentford. I started their straight from school as an apprentice technician (a great foundation to start a career).?My career with Fiat has lasted 44 years, starting when it was just the Fiat brand, but leaving with upwards of 12 and with Stellantis at the forefront of change. I am very proud to have worked for the company and in a small way been part of its successes and growth - I really have no idea where the years have gone. I have enjoyed every minute, Fiat / Stellantis has been very good to me. I would not change a thing (well perhaps one or two things, but that's not bad after 44 years!). I made many long-lasting and lifelong friendships with colleagues in UK and across Europe and from within the wider Motor Industry. All those who I worked with in my many?different roles,?have supported and helped me achieve my very best at all times, and for this I thank you all.

But now it's time for me to start a new chapter in my story, more time for our parents, our ever-growing family and for my wife. Time to travel, dust off my spanners and tinker on a Classic, a spot of golf,?DIY?and adapting to life at a slower pace - but there is no doubt I will stay busy.??

I have many great memories - of people (some real characters), projects, programmes, successes, car launches, funny moments and the continual changing times, these will all keep me going and I will keep in touch - I will miss you all?
