Sydney Marathon to be an Abbott World Marathon Major starting in 2025...

The TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS has been officially designated as the seventh Abbott World Marathon Majors , joining the ranks of Boston, New York, Chicago, London, Berlin and Tokyo. Infront has played a pivotal role in this achievement, providing strategic guidance and leveraging our global networks to elevate the event to this prestigious status. This milestone not only enhances Sydney's standing in the global marathon community but also reflects the collaborative efforts of all involved.

...as work begins with Shanghai Marathon through strategic partnership

Meanwhile, Infront has entered a long-term partnership with the Shanghai Marathon, China’s latest candidate for the Abbott World Marathon Majors , solidifying our support throughout the rigorous evaluation process. By providing 360° consultancy on marketing, sponsorship, media, and event production, Infront aims to help Shanghai meet AbbottWMM’s elite criteria and position itself among the global marathon elite. This is a landmark opportunity for China, one of the world’s fastest-growing running markets, and a testament to Infront’s expanding impact on the running community.

World Rugby and HBS extend partnership through 2029 for Rugby World Cup broadcast

World Rugby has confirmed the continuation of its successful partnership with HBS as host broadcaster for the Men’s and Women’s Rugby World Cups through to 2029. With a focus on growing rugby’s audience, HBS will enhance coverage of upcoming tournaments in England, Australia and beyond. In line with World Rugby’s multi-platform strategy, the 2023 Rugby World Cup saw record viewership, with a 33% increase over 2019. The new deal will incorporate sustainability principles, using technology to reduce carbon emissions, aligning with World Rugby’s climate goals and commitment to impactful, innovative broadcast coverage.

The good news continued to roll for HBS and rugby after it also announced it joined forces with Gallagher Premiership champions Northampton Saints to enhance digital content for women’s rugby.
