All set for the next step...

Today is my last day in my current role at Bayer before I head into a new role at Bayer Vital GmbH.

Around 10 years ago, I had the opportunity to meet Liam Condon – today’s Head of Bayer Crop Science – when Liam was the Head of Bayer Vital. I recall feeling highly-inspired about the business; its customer-proximity, agility and sense of entrepreneurialism.

Fast forward to today, as a German citizen – thanks (not) to Brexit – I feel honored to step into the big shoes of my predecessor Helmut Schaefers, who has so expertly led Communications at Bayer Vital for the past 12 years. While my last two roles at Bayer enabled me to build up new skills within Corporate Innovation and HR, I am very much looking forward to returning to my roots in Communications and journalism with a new team at Bayer Vital.

I am truly grateful for the invaluable experiences I gained within Innovation Engagement, and feel especially grateful to my boss Monika Lessl for enabling me to experiment with film, digital platforms, TED-style Talks and podcasts etc.

I would also like to thank too many colleagues to mention for the amazing collaboration, lessons-learned, fun and experiences over the years. Never in my life have I worked within such a beautifully diverse team (on so many levels) as within Corporate Innovation. I am very much looking forward to building on the connections I have made during my 13 years at Bayer - and also to forging new ones during my time at Bayer Vital - as we collectively strive to fuel Bayer’s vision, Health for all, Hunger for none.
