All roads lead to you...
Today I could sleep for England. If England had an international sleeping team, I'd be the captain. I don't know if sleeping is a superpower, but I think it should be.
The Old Bailey was fabulous. Our daughter was ecstatic to be there, and we sat quietly in the public gallery for a while watching the barristers at work.
Court in reality is nothing like the TV shows. It's quieter, and less racially diverse. Sadly, it's still an old-posh-boy network. But, every year more women go into law and make it less so. And nothing we saw put our girl off, in fact it makes her more determined.
After we left the Old Bailey we wandered around London looking for somewhere to have lunch, and to rest my feet (wearing my birthday boots!) and we had no idea where to eat. So we hit Google hard.
We must have looked a right sight! Huddled together over our phones looking for somewhere to have lunch nearby.
And the winner? Marco Pierre White's London Steakhouse. Why? It was the top of a bunch of Google Business Profile listings, they had a great lunchtime deal, and we could get directions to walk from the Old Bailey to Liverpool St.
What's not to love? And it was fabulous.
