With lower interest rates, a lot of homeowners are tempted to refinance. However, it doesn’t make sense for everyone. If you want to refinance, your main motivation should be the interest savings, as opposed to the interest rate. If you refinance at a lower rate for a longer period of time, those interest savings will be minimal.
