IS ALL PUBLICITY ACTUALLY GOOD PUBLICITY?
The idea of fame is becoming vaguer and vaguer every day. The concept is getting diluted behind the platform of social media likes and follows. From a broader perspective, trending a topic on social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook could be the highlight of a company’s/individual’s journey…or it can be the final nail in their coffin.?
To get a clear understanding of how either case could happen, we turn to the most commonly-trending person ever, Elon Musk. Say what you want about the day, and dear lord, there’s a lot to say about him, but he knows how to take over the news. He’ll put the internet on hold for talking about buying Twitter one day. On the next day, he’ll be called out for giving his newborn son the weirdest name ever (X ? A-12, in case you didn’t know. Yes, we’re serious).

Most recently, Musk made remarks regarding the Ukraine-Russia war, as well as, the political situation between Taiwan & China. Let’s just say his views were not appreciated by his western audience (yet loved by their Chinese and Russian counterparts). As a result, Tesla stocks took a plunge in the past few days, even if he managed to squeeze in news about the most underwhelming Tesla humanoid robot ever. So, publicity for your business is good…if it’s good publicity. Otherwise, you might find yourself in situations that the likes of Elon Musk and Blizzard have found themselves in.?
