Season’s Greeting everyone! An exercise that is great for today – and all the other days.
I’ve just watched “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”*. There are só many life lessons you can take from Fred Rogers that I consider it therapeutic.
One of them is so simple, so easy to do, and yet so special. There is a scene at a diner when Fred Rogers (Tom Hanks) asks another character to take a minute with him to think about all the persons (he uses ‘persons’, not ‘people’) who have loved him into being, who helped him become who he was.
It’s empowering. You just take a deep breath, close your eyes, and do it. Those sixty seconds can be really life-changing. It is possible the first times you try you won’t find people to fill in all the sixty seconds, but something tells me that your list will gradually grow. Or you are so lucky you will take more than that.
I am sure it will come to a point sixty seconds won’t be enough.
Enjoy yourself!!!
