ALL Or Nothing At All

Part 2/3. You can read Part 1/3 here.

To say the 90-day preface I just completed, has been the foundation I need for my next chapter, would be an understatement.

It has been an inspirational period of time that I will never forget, because of the gratitude and further passion it has stirred up inside of me.

Gratitude for all of the people God has woven into my life from all over the country.

Gratitude for the gifts He has blessed me with, to be able to perform a variety of things that I love to do, and to do them in a way that makes an impact on others, in a way that I’m able to actually see and feel.

And finally, gratitude for the position I’m in at 34, to have the time and resources to be able to enjoy a 90-day preface like this one I’ve been in, where I can refill myself before I pour myself out again.

This gratitude eventually morphed into inspiration. And the inspiration translated into motivation. Motivation fueled passion. And before you know it, I felt a powerful force of clarity with affirmation.

I’ve come out of this 90-day preface with complete clarity on how to invest my time, energy and resources moving forward. I also came out of this period with complete affirmation that I have recently made the best decisions I could have made, for my family and I’s future.

In the near future, I know that I want to once again dedicate myself to a brand that I can start, build up and lead forward. I yearn to build a culture and lead a team that can jointly live for a purpose and work together to achieve a mission that is both disruptive and impactful in the marketplace we will serve.

I long to be in the sports world again. My first business served college and high school athletic programs with multiple tech video product offerings for almost six years, starting in my senior year of college. I love sports. I know sports. I yearn to build something in the sports world again.

No doubt that this is in my near future and I am working on this daily with a new concept that I’ve been dreaming up for quite some time, but now I’m actually developing this concept into a startup that I will launch in the 2017–18 athletic year!

It’s something I’ve been ideating about for several years; reading, writing and connecting with others in regard to the problem I see in the sports media world, along with the disruptive solution that I want to provide my future clients?—?high school, college and professional athletes. It’s a dream I’ve had since I was a boy about the age of my son, James IV.

Over the past 90 days, I’ve been blessed with a newfound resource of time, to begin working on my idea by connecting with professional athletes, influential sports media personalities, prominent collegiate sports administrators, top-tier sports agents and most importantly, a guy that I consider to be one of the most disruptive influencers in this second-coming of the Industrial Revolution that we are now living in.

There is still much to develop, so there is nothing more I can write at this time regarding my new company. Just know it’s something that will be the first-of-its-kind for the age-old sports media industry.

While I plan on having some initial partnerships with existing sports marketing and representation brands outside of the south, in markets like LA and New York, I want to base this business in the south because, let’s face it, nobody does sports like we do down here.

It's going to take my formula of developing a vision I have strong belief in, and then going out and taking massive action to achieve it, knowing that there will be many conflicts that arise, which will require my tenacious perseverance. The same formula I've had to apply in building past businesses. I'm right back at square one, and I'm embracing it.

So if this is what I’m building for a launch in 2017, what does that mean for the present?

Stay tuned for Part 3/3, to learn about the five different brands I’m spending my time with presently, as an investor and advisor.
