I’ve yet to come across a single marketing concept that didn’t have merit.
We counted 276 different sectors where we’ve implemented successful marketing campaigns and I’ve experimented with thousands of different marketing campaigns and tactics.
They all work to one degree or another.
Different campaigns work better in different sectors.
Other campaigns are timing-based.
And there are plenty that don’t live up to the promises that were made about them.
But they all work to engage leads and provide an opportunity for a new client.
So why do people have trouble?
There are 2 reasons.

#01. Iteration.
Non-marketing folk expect marketing to work out of the gate.
On the first try.
But marketing is about iteration and refinement.
Small experiments, refined before the big investment.
Most people don’t do the iterative work.?
Most don’t know how.

#02. Implementation
Most people aren’t running campaigns.
They complain about a lack of clients.

They tell me things are not working.
But when I ask what they’ve been doing, the uncomfortable truth is - NOTHING.
It’s not laziness.
It’s being too smart to start.
Smart people are already thinking of one hundred ways things won’t work before they’ve even tried.
They imagine implementing the marketing without actually implementing.
And so they have no results to show.
