"TO ALL THE LOVERS"
"To All The Lovers"
To all the lovers in the world
The ones whose love has failed
The unrequited tormented lover
The one's whose heart love has
only slightly brushed
The dreamers and the schemers
The long-distance afflicted
who love restricted
The virgins and the tarried
The ones that never married
The frail and the disparaged
who have suffered a miscarriage
The snipers and the stealers
The wheelers and the dealers
The brave that ripped their hearts out
and fervently held it still beating
in their hands
The cowards that hid it
despite its gnawing pangs
and claims "no one understands"
The ones half-committed
who gave up and quitted
who now feel so estranged
The ones who sacrificed everything
in honor of its name
I pay homage to your suffering,
how much you've endured your pain,
what you could and could not give,
what you lived and could not live.
Because coward or brave hearted,
young or very old
the sinner or the sacred
the wise man or the faker
love has taken
your soul.
