Welcome to this week's edition of OutNEWS. As we have pointed out in previous editions, the focus on LGBTQ+ Board representation in the United States is at an all-time high. However, what does the LGBTQ+ representation landscape look like in other countries? The short answer? Not great. My research offers five explanations why this is so. Read more here.

We will be closely watching developments with the Equality Act that passed the House of Representatives last month. You can read more background here on what the polarization of America could mean for its chances in the Senate. The private sector has a vital role to play in publicly supporting the Equality Act.
