All innovations are combinations ??

As ideaDJ and cross-industry innovation expert I believe that virtually all innovations are combinations. Sure we still need elementary research to come up with new materials and insights, yet for society and business 99% of innovations are actually smart combinations.

How to know what to combine?

The total number of possible combinations is infinite, so the key is to use tools to help you steer you 'match sensitivity' as described in the book 'not invented here: cross-industry innovation'.
