All I May Ever Know

You must love some one for who they are

And not love them for who they could be,

For the second love leaves painful scars

And the first can last for an eternity.

And this might be all I truly understand of love

As when your near I now tremble and shake

Then like a cursed comet from high up above

I crash into your soul, then shatter and break

You don't see yourself as structured and strong,

Yet, you break me in to pieces nearly every time.

Confused and feeling that you I have wronged.

Hurts I can't fix with my silly, stupid rhymes.

Worse, you made it so I can never leave you

And I'm not sure I would even know how to try.

So, this shattering will now always continue,

Pieces of me scattrered around you till I die.
