Not All Heroes Wear Capes.
I know many of you have seen this picture before as I posted it earlier on in the week. However I had an opportunity to speak with Deputy?Rick Sessions, M.B.A. .. He had told me of this precious moment and how it really touched him. Having spoken with Rick, I quickly learned that this man is a cops cop. Rick served his time in the Military and has had many years as a police officer, heading the SWAT Team for Broward County and is the lead trainer in homicide investigations within the State of Florida, however under that tough exterior, all 6ft 4 if him there lies with in an even bigger heart. This very moment was one of the best highlights of his career.
After reaching the bottom of the escalator, the boy's father showed the deputy a photo he had taken.?“I had no idea he had his arm around me, it nearly brought me to tears,” Deputy Sessions said after seeing the photo.?This was a short but memorable moment for the boy, his family but one that will stay with Deputy Sessions forever.?
Rick, reached out to me and asked if I would share the original picture. It shows the size of this little guy beside Deputy Sessions. This one shows the sheer beauty of it all. A little boy holding on to one of his Heroes. Rick, told me that he retires in a few months, that this really was a moment that will stay with him for ever and hat he will have the picture blown up and placed with pride in his new home where he will retire to next year.
