All Eyes On Us!

All Eyes On Us!

If you’re looking backwards, search and the internet are absolutely amazing technologies that have transformed every aspect of humanity. They are foundational and I have been here for the entire ride. When we started digital@ jwt, Google was just launching and it wasn’t until 2004 that “The Facebook” started at Harvard.?

I have often said, “If you can imagine it, it can be done.” That’s almost true. It comes down to time, money and the quality of your team.?

At mktg.ai, we've made significant strides in the past year and we are looking forward to our technology taking off like wildfire. We’re already garnering increasing attention for our innovation.

While AI excels at synthesizing vast amounts of data, the future of information retrieval may shift towards more controlled environments. In media we have always talked about the notion of “the Walled Garden.” Now I’m coining a new term, the "Walled Forest." Remember this term.?

Here’s something to think about, the future of search will not be searchable. What do I mean? Content is going to become much less accessible in the coming years. It’s this lack of accessibility that will make content rise on the spectrum of trust as well.?

Jensen Huang, who spoke as part of a fireside chat with the UAE’s Minister of AI, described the notion of “sovereign AI,” which emphasizes a country’s ownership over its data and the intelligence it produces and is an enormous opportunity for the world’s leaders.?

He stated,? “It codifies your culture, your society’s intelligence, your common sense, your history – you own your own data.”

This same ideal applies to companies and their development of brands.?

It reminds me of when I was asked to speak on a government panel in 2013 with Travis LeBlanc, who at the time was Special Assistant Attorney General of California. He said “Whatever state sets it (Privacy laws) it becomes the floor. (for a standard). You can watch the original panel here. Kamala Harris was supposed to be the panelist, but he wound up in her stead.?

So how does this apply to the marketing industry??

Smart marketers will keep their data and information from the broader internet-sphere or search-sphere. They will control their pools of data and will define how that data is surfaced to help them become better marketers. THis will help them become better brands.?

Forward-thinking marketers are increasingly safeguarding their data from the broader internet, maintaining control over their information. By doing so, they determine how this data is utilized to enhance their marketing strategies.

Ultimately, tools that effectively integrate AI, data, and creative to benefit both marketers and consumers are poised for meteoric success.
