There are no prizes for guessing what the top stories were this week. All eyes were on Australian regional carrier Rex as the airline announced in the late hours of Tuesday that it was going into administration.
Hundreds of staff have already been let go from the airline, with more apprehensive about their future.
This came after it was revealed that Rex CEO Neville Howell is entitled to a year's salary following updates to his contract just days before the airline halted trading.
The news has sparked widespread debate and commentary across the industry with many, including the Australian Travel Industry Association calling for government intervention as well as a reform of the industry.
