All Eyes on Jordan Carter

All Eyes on Jordan Carter

We are so excited to introduce you to our newest sales consultant, Jordan Carter. A veteran sales representative with a penchant for solving problems, Jordan joined the Kin operations team in July 2019 and is quickly learning, well, everything.

In his off time, Jordan is a man of many talents – he's a filmmaker and photographer. Let’s see what he’s all about.

Jordan Carter, Kin Sales Consultant

What excites you most about working here?

The opportunity to move the needle in the insurance space in a tangible way.

How does working at Kin compare to previous roles and job experiences?

It’s honestly been my best work experience from a cultural standpoint to this date. Typically, entering a new workspace can oftentimes be a bit intimidating. You ultimately want to show your worth in a new situation and work your way into the fold. Here, from day one, Kin has made it a priority to skip that awkward newcomer stage and has treated me as one of its own.

How did you get interested in your current field? What's your career origin story?

I have a vast background in sales, but this is my first swing in the insurance industry. I like to think of myself as a solution-based guy. So I'm always looking to solve problems for people, especially consumers. That’s ultimately how I look at sales: I'm not in the business of selling products – I provide solutions.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Film and photography. I’ve been into photography and film for a little over six years now. I do more video than photo. I shoot weddings, media events, and interviews, but my favorite is short films. In photography, I like portraits, abstract and candid style. My website is currently being remodeled.

Tell us a random fact.

I love art galleries. Wrightwood 659 is my favorite gallery at the moment. I have an affinity for architecture and this gallery highlights it.

If you had to give prospective Kin hires one piece of advice, what would it be?

Have an empty cup. You’re going to learn a lot.
