To all employees, clients, and partners

The time has come for me to bid farewell. I have submitted my resignation from the position of CEO at Scorecode Texteis SA. Before I depart, I would like to share a few words.

As my journey at Scorecode draws to a close, I want to express my gratitude to each and every one of you for what has been an exhilarating and immensely fulfilling 30 years. While I wish I could convey this in person to everyone, circumstances prevent me, and I apologize for the impersonal nature of this farewell.

My journey has been filled with countless cherished moments – too many to recount. Suffice it to say, I have loved my work, cherished the interactions with our clients, and looked forward to coming to work every day. Reflecting on my entire experience, it truly has been a "Journey of a Lifetime."

I will forever remember those who, ?back in 1988, believed in a "young woman" to take over the responsability of following up their productions in Portugal . Equally unforgettable are those who followed suit, such as Reebok, Mizuno, Rossignol, Fila, Ellesse, and others who placed their trust in us from day one.

And let us not forget those who remained steadfast through calm and turbulent times, never abandoning ship, never abandoning me.

Throughout the years, we have had the privilege of participating in some of the most significant projects locally and globally. These are achievements we will forever take pride in. We embraced challenges without hesitation and pioneered the era of sustainability and upcycling long before it became ?The trend?.

Witnessing some of our smaller clients begin their journey with us and evolve into esteemed brands has been a source of pride and joy.

We are the ones who joined the exclusive circle of the UN Global Compact, co-founded the Life-Work Balance Pact, and earned the highest number of certifications in the textile industry.

Ours is a company where we are all individuals, bound by a shared vision.

This work is deeply personal, and over the course of my life, I have had the privilege of encountering extraordinary people. Many have left an indelible mark on me, shaping the person I am today and influencing my perspectives.

Numerous people ?from this journey remain a part of my life to this day, evolving from clients to lifelong friends.

Expressing my immense respect and affection for the thousands with whom I have collaborated over the years would be an understatement. Leading and representing this organization has been a true honor.

As my journey concludes at the doorstep of my 60th birthday, I reflect on a path that has been unpredictable, exciting, incredibly rewarding, and undeniably intense.

Our commitment to delivering exceptional products and upholding the highest standards of quality and integrity has set us apart. We've aimed to transform our clients' business journeys into experiences that reflect the richness of our beloved Portugal.

To the employees, past and present,your contributions have been invaluable. I extend my deepest appreciation. I have learned from you, enjoyed working alongside you, and have been inspired by your talents, skills, knowledge, and dedication. ?I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support. We functioned as a team, but it always felt like a family.

?To our clients, thank you for placing your trust in our work, and for the inspiration you provide me every day.

I cannot neglect to express my gratitude to our partners, factories, suppliers, and subcontractors who have accompanied me throughout this journey, even in moments of uncertainty. Your trust and support have been a guiding light, and for that, I am sincerely thankful.

I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors. Specifically, I extend my best wishes to my successor, as he leads the company into its next chapter.

Above all, let us never forget what makes this company truly exceptional – our unique culture, shared sense of belonging, joy, and friendship?and pride in our work.

I want to extend a special thank you to my three children, Dani, Bia, and David, who have grown alongside this company, and whose love has always sustained me. And, of course, my gratitude to my husband, Virgilio, my business partner and confidant in all aspects of my life. The joys of building this project were magnified by the happiness we shared.

I am reminded of these poignant words: "The past is a lantern at the stern of a boat, shedding light on the waters we all sail together." I thank you all and wish you smooth sailing ahead.
