10 个月Great points Matthias. A regular petrol pump has the equivalent power rating of about 20MW (dispensing 40?L/min of petrol 34.2?MJ/L). This is what customers expect from the refuelling experience, but is never going to happen for EV charging, as you point out, the grid can't handle it. Current drivers do about 80% of their charging at home. It's more convenient and cheaper for the driver, and as mentioned better for the grid. I find most policy or discussion focuses on public charging infrastructure, which is hugely important for driver adoption, but misses the relevance of residential or long-idle charging.
