Not all computers are made equal.

Not all computers are made equal.

Do you know what one of the most frustrating things is working in the IT industry??Everyone is a bloody expert.?Well not everyone.?I love it when someone respects their own level of knowledge and ours.?One of my favourite clients, a lady called Sally actually calls herself “an IT f***wit”.?She makes me laugh every time she says it.?Mind you, she makes me laugh in many ways. But it makes working with her so much easier, as she is very much self-aware of her own knowledge, so when she asks our advice, she follows it.?

The annoying thing is sometimes people thinking they know more, so they don’t ask, but it is the businesses around that often rely on a family member or an ‘IT enthusiast’ in their own team.?There are often ones that enjoy ‘playing’ with computers, but that is often exactly what they are doing.?Your IT support shouldn’t be a hobby, it should be a profession.??

But soapbox moment over!?This video is themed around this though, as often people stroll into a shop or browsing online and buy their own computer, without really considering what it will be used for. At the end of the day, do you even know the difference between an HDD and a SSD??Probably not, and I wouldn’t blame you!?There are far more interesting things to know and spend your time on.

Watch to have a thought-provoking reminder for the next time you may think about a DIY computer purchase…
