It all comes back to putting

Recently I changed a couple of things about my golf swing that are finally beginning to set. I am hitting the ball longer and straighter than in recent years but my scores do not reflect my greens in regulation, yet.
When we work on changes in a specific area of our game, the allotted time for practice goes to that while other parts of the game, that were working, have to coast along on their merit.
Unfortunately, regardless of how well the rest of the game is, if the ball doesn't find the hole in less than 2 putts, the scores will reflect it.
Do as I say, not as I did! As you focus on various parts of your game, don't leave out the short game, particularly the putting. The summer has been perfect for Superintendents to speed up the pace of the greens. If you have not practiced weekly, you are in for a surprise the next time you play.
