My new adventure

So in the words of Bilbo Baggins, I think I’m quite ready for a new adventure.

My time at Hastings Direct has come to an end so I wanted to write an open thank you and good bye to some amazing colleagues and friends. I can look back and say I’ve never really felt at home (work wise) anywhere like I did at HD. The culture, values and general feel of the place is wonderful and it is something that will stay with me forever. Along with making some key hires the Employer Brand project which we completed last year is my greatest work achievement and something to be proud of. It’s amazing that it has been put forward for multiple awards, HD and TLA (the agency that worked with us) deserve allot of credit for what is a great piece of work.

I worked with some fantastic colleagues and made some great friends, particularly within the pricing, underwriting and general commercial teams. I hope to rearch out to you all individually.

However like all good things, they must come to an end. As sad as I am to leave, I am excited about my new challenge.

My new adventure takes me to a recruitment agency called Advento where I will manage a team of wonderful consultants/resourcers. I aim to bring my recruitment experience (particularly in insurance and financial services) and promote what I see as modern recruitment best practice. Those who know me will know that I would have been apprehensive joining an agency again, however from meeting them a few times Advento really seem like an innovative, friendly and intelligent group within the tech sector.

So goodbye to an amazing team at Hastings, and hello new my new adventure...wish me luck ??
