‘All ah We is One’ at ALTA’s Hallmark Event

As we conclude our series on Readings Under the Trees 2024, we present a collage showcasing our favorite moments from the event. The radiant smiles and focused expressions captured in these photos offer a glimpse into this beloved community gathering.

We are immensely grateful for the steadfast support of our partners who share our mission of promoting literacy across the Caribbean. Special appreciation goes to:

? The Horticulture Division of the Ministry of Agriculture, St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Kapok Hotel, and Walking in the Spirit Ministries for their continuing support and hospitality to provide the facilities and parking for this event.

? To our young volunteers from Bishop Anstey and Trinity College East Sixth Form and St Joseph’s Convent Port of Spain, whose attentive presence added vibrancy to the event.

? Our patron Mrs. Zalayhar Hassanali who graced us with her presence once again, attending this year’s happenings in her ALTA 15th anniversary polo. We extend our sincere thanks to Mrs. Hassanali for her unwavering patronage over 30 years.

And of course, to our tutors, volunteers, staff and students, we are grateful to you always, and excited for all that the future holds.

If you missed Readings Under the Trees 2023, this is an annual event so do join us next year in the Botanic Gardens on the third Saturday in March. Feel the cool March breeze, bask in the golden sunlight of the dry season, and be enchanted by the transformative power of words.
