All aboard the Pembrokeshire holiday express

People, let's face it, drive to their holidays in the UK. That is pretty much the rule. They have masses of stuff to take. And it's just easier, and usually more convenient.
But there are very good reasons to persuade people to use coach or train, where these options are possible and available. Today's news that rail prices are to increase next year ahead of inflation, once again, hardly helps, and in a month with yet more grim news about fossil fuel-generated climate change.
And yet, there are small victories. This month I was told (and you may well be reading it here first) that the new GWR trains will run next summer, albeit only on Saturdays, west of Carmarthen, all the way to the delightful resort of Tenby and other Pembrokeshire destinations. There had been some doubt as to whether the new rolling stock could continue past Carmarthen, necessitating a change of trains.
So, GWR, how about sending the Famous Five on an adventure to Freshwater West beach or the ramparts of Pembroke Castle?
