All Aboard for a New Journey

A legend returns as Belmond's Eastern & Oriental Express is finally back on the rails, offering the ultimate luxurious Malaysian escapade departing from Singapore Woodland Stations and traversing through Kuala Lumpur; offering excursions to Langkawi on the Essence of Malaysia journey and to Taman Negara National Park on the Wild Malaysia journey, and Penang.

With Chef André Chiang as the Culinary Curator, the onboard dining experience is set to reach new heights, featuring innovative and sustainably sourced menus.

The train’s interiors have also been recently restyled. This is slow travel at its best — come onboard, for an unforgettable train journey of glamour.

?E&O is proud to announce the appointment of Chef André Chiang as the new ‘Culinary Curator’ onboard the legendary train.?A visionary in the culinary world, Chef André will bring his innovative touch, curating an all-new dining experience.?His new menus will feature Southeast Asian delights crafted with sustainably sourced ingredients and showcase the region's diverse cultures that define the area.

The revamped E&O boasts eight sleeping carriages, two restaurants, a Piano Bar, and an open-air Observation Car, all restyled to bring contemporary grandeur.

The air-conditioned cabins – Pullman, State, and Presidential – are cherry-wood paneled sanctuaries whose designs reflect the different landscapes the train travels through. The Pullman cabins draw inspiration from Kuala Lumpur, featuring red and blue accents, the State cabins reflect Penang's marine locale with a blue and green palette, and the Presidential Suites exude opulence with hues of gold and embroidered elements.

The new in-cabin experience offers a sensory journey through scents, lights, playlists, teas, and premium bedding.

From May to October, the Eastern and Oriental Express' itinerary includes an excursion into the Taman Negara National Park, where new experiences await.

Enjoy an educational tour of the park to learn about the endangered Malayan Tigers, a wildlife photography class or an exploration of the rainforest's ancient caves.

This May, a special Tiger Express journey designed in partnership with Save Wild Tigers, aims to raise awareness of the conservation efforts to save the Malayan Tiger from extinction.

Departing from Singapore, travel up north through the lush jungles of Malaysia.
