**Is It ALL About 6-Packs & Smelling Chips?**
Glenn Shelford
Helping busy desk-based execs move away from weight loss fads, flakey confidence and having to put a "front" on at work... To drop the guilt, take control & get back in their clothes collecting dust in the wardrobe
Rows & rows of people are there, all dressed up to the nines
Young, old, fat, thin.... all your old friends from school, family members, your partner, your kids
Sitting quietly in their rows
Looking towards the front of the building
Where a man is talking
and he's talking about you
Saying what kind of a life you had
How much of an impact you made
What kind of person you were
Who's going to miss you
What is important about life and valuing it
(We're at your funeral by the way)
and whilst this might be going a bit deep, it's important to remember that this is coming for ALL of us
and whilst you MAY or may not be:
- Hating your lockdown belly
- Wishing lockdown will hurry up and finish
- Getting more takeaways
- Arguing with your people you live with
This is the ONLY 2021 you'll ever get
So you can cry, whinge and bitch about it not going the way you want
Or, you can look for what IS something worth getting up for today
Who can you help today? Who can you reach out to?
See, your actions have consequences... and every time you get a bit more pissed off at yourself for thinking you need to just eat chicken salad, and berate yourself every time you pick up an extra chicken nugget
STOP
If we all ate nothing but healthy, gluten-free, raw foods for the next 10 years,,, a lot of people would STILL be brown bread
So here's something you can quote me on:
F**k a six pack
F**k only sniffing the fish & chips before you go back to your celery sticks
LIVE
Enjoy your food
Enjoy your family
Enjoy going out for long walks with nowhere to be
Enjoy the discomfort, because you're the only one who can change it
We can all want to be healthier
But don't let it be at the expense of your own happiness and sanity
Take time out to spend more "now-time" with your loved ones, and they'll thank you for it
Maybe not now, but maybe at the time we spoke about when this email first started
What can you do today to make a slightly bigger, positive dent in one of their lives?
