I've already introduced you to Antonio Luquin from Jalisco in Mexico, now please meet Julio Figueroa Beltran from Havana, Cuba. Julio graduated from San Alejandro then attended ISA, Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana and works as assistant to Julio Larraz. Throwing pedigree aside, the work speaks to me, as does the artist. Humble, lovely and incredibly talented. My favorite combo.
Additionally, the work of Ernesto San Aviles of El Salvador has recently come to my attention via Ford Fine Art. Sublime. Though some see it as a bit dark, I am completely and utterly in love with his work.
Then there's Darian Rodriguez Mederos, he continues his skyward ascent, destined to reach the stars. We sold the works he'd created for the LA Show, before we ever made it to LA. His latest offering, a portrait of his grandfather, is below.
