Today, we're gonna talk about alignment, that's what I wanted to say. That's what I wanna talk about, it's alignment. I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine who works at another company, and he is massively misaligned to the company's objectives and goals against his personal objectives and goals. Man, that can't happen. I've worked in an environment where that happens and look, I'm not a grass is greener kinda guy. I believe you mow your own grass, and that works. That works in lots of things in life until you don't have alignment with the company you're at. You think you're mowing your grass. You think you're tending your garden, and the company is going in a different direction, and then polluting your garden. You're like, wow. It's not.
You gotta have ALIGNMENT.
And you gotta have alignment with the people you're with, the team you're on, the teammates your with. I mean, have you been on toxic teams where people weren't aligned, and they were rowing in a different direction than you? It doesn't work, alignment's crucial. As a leader, we've gotta focus on alignment. We've gotta focus on our team, getting lined up to our shared objective. In life with your spouse, you gotta have alignment. It's my word of the day for you. And so if you don't have it, it's a good gut check moment. Anytime, pop your head up, look out at the forest and go, do I have alignment with my CEO? Do I have alignment with my spouse, my teammates. Are we going the same direction? And just that constant pivot and change to align is crucial for success. 'Cause no matter how hard you work, if you're not alignment, you can't win. You gotta go the same direction, and you'll be happier when you find people that are going the same direction as you. 4 年loanDepot Retail is all about alignment. In Operations, If you can't trust your sales partners, you will always move slowly and needlessly double check everything. In Sales, if you can't trust operations, you will stop selling and spend your time "running" operations. A true partnership allows you to move fast with confidence and trust. Alignment is the key to that partnership.
