Psychotherapist turned business coach for ADHD-ish business owners who want a stand-out, sought-after business built on their brilliance. Host of Top rated “ADHD-ish Podcast” (formerly The Driven Woman Entrepreneur)
In this week's edition of The Driven Woman Entrepreneur newsletter,? I’m delighted to share a case study which highlights the transformative power of working with a thought partner when rebranding your business.?
If you've ever felt overwhelmed in your business journey or found yourself at a crossroads unsure of the next turn, this discussion distills crucial insights that could redefine your approach.
Jen shared her evolution from experiencing a period of burnout to achieving groundbreaking clarity in her business direction. Initially, her venture felt aligned more with striving for financial success rather than fulfilling her true values and personal satisfaction. A common thread I've noticed among many ambitious women like Jen and I, is this cultural push towards relentless pursuit, often at the expense of personal well-being. In other words, Hustle Culture.??
Jen decide to hire me, not for traditional business coaching, but to serve as a strategic thought partner. This move was less about slogging through well-worn paths and more about crafting a unique narrative that deeply resonated with her ideals and the specific psychographics of her audience.? Our thought partnership assisted her not only in pinpointing effective strategic pivots but also in embracing a marketing approach that champions 'quiet influence'—an invaluable lesson for those of us who prefer subtlety over the spotlight in our promotional activities.
Jen utilized the Voxer app, which is offered to all of my clients as an option for verbally processing their thoughts between our formal coaching calls. These exchanges also helped Jen benefit from immediate feedback and actionable advice. This iterative, slow-burn strategy paved the way for Jen to craft offers that genuinely aligned with her energy and the needs of her clientele—shifting from broad-spectrum offerings such as memberships to more intense, one-off strategic consultation sessions and a premium 30-day sprint tailored to deliver rapid transformative results for her clients.

Jen’s story highlighted something crucial that many of us might relate to—the feeling of fulfillment when our business authentically aligns with personal values and lifestyle. She emphasized the importance of right-sizing business endeavors to prevent work from consuming life, leaning into periods of quiet and introspection to spark creativity, and the overarching importance of maintaining a balance that keeps our independent spirit alive without overshadowing personal happiness.
For any of us navigating the ever-competitive business environment, Jen’s insights remind us of the power of introspection, the strategic value of a thought partner, and the courage needed to redefine success on our own terms. Whether it’s through redefining our offers, re-aligning our business strategies, or even taking bold steps into new territories, the essence lies in staying true to our core values and finding joy in what we do.
Being a small business owner, consultant or coach can be isolating, and it’s essential to seek partners and mentors who challenge us, complement our skillsets, and provide the space to ideate and execute with conviction. It was a genuine pleasure to work with Jen, who really understood how to make the most of working with a strategic partner.?
I encourage you to reflect on your current strategies and consider whether a thought partner could be the catalyst you need to propel you toward greater innovation and success.? Feel free to DM me or send me an email to see if I might be a good fit for you, too.??

7 个月I regularly "lean into periods of quiet and introspection" first thing in the morning with coffee, my planner, and a heating pad (lol). Also while driving, or working in my garden. I need that solitude to reenergize and think.
