Align Your Marketing With Your Life

There's a clear distinction between marketing and strategy in your business. The pressures of integrating our marketing with our personal lives are shared.

We are expected to be ever-present and active in this trend, whether it's attending events or sharing our lives online to promote ourselves. This trend prompts us to ask: are we selling the product and service or ourselves?

Understanding time is important in your business. The main goal is to align your marketing with your life.

Everything we do gets posted on social media for everyone to see. I even got caught up in it at one time. Then, I realized that I was spending less time on my business needs and goals, always trying to please the clients and working on projects to brag about them. But once I aligned my marketing with my life, I felt I was on the right path.

Truthfully, it takes time to realize that you are off-path, but once you do, you clearly understand what's necessary in your business.

At one time, I used to schedule unnecessary meetings and fill my calendar to stay "busy," and at the time, I didn't realize I was not converting to money. It just looked good on my calendar.

This loss of focus affected my marketing business and the clients I was working hard to satisfy. Taking on work that I necessarily didn't want and saying "yes" to every project was not satisfying.

What I'm trying to say is that not everyone is your client and that your worth means something. You must be honest in your business because we all get lost in ourselves and focus on why we are in business in the first place.

Do we take time to realize our worth? When you step outside of the hustle of every day, are you making the best decisions about your marketing? We can agree that it is a No!

Most businesses need to be on the path of a successful marketing strategy but stray. They hire a marketing company to set the goals, and most of the time, they do not follow the rules of marketing that are set.

So, when your website experiences a negative impact, social media declines, or ROI does not work, the marketing team or company is the first person they point the finger at.

The #1 goal in your business is to think strategy first and bring in the most significant ROI, keeping you focused on what truly matters.

Your marketing team and agency are the hardest-working people in your business. We are the fortune tellers and see changes in marketing before they even happen.

Regardless, most companies or small businesses only really relate to the changes once it's too late. That's why hiring a marketing expert matters, and spending more than once a year reviewing your budgets or readjusting your marketing is more important now than ever.

Here is some free advice: start small, then add the pieces to your overall marketing strategy to feel aligned and comprehensive. Stop pouring from an empty bucket of ideas.

Understand that we feel the pressures of your competitors, that social media is on the decline, and that trying to attend every class or paying out of pocket for webinars is not working for your business.

Are you spending too much time trying to learn the skills of the marketing expert so that you can save a penny? Or do you need to invest in the marketing strategies that work for your business?

We need to be intentional and strategic. So, when marketing suddenly changes, you must realign your marketing with your life.

The question is, will you realign your business or keep straying? Now, let's point the finger back at you.
