Ali and never quitting

Ali and never quitting

"Winners are not those who never fail. They are those who never quit"

The images are legendary - Ali down on the deck, Ali lying back on the ropes in the 11th or 12th round virtually out on his feet (the "rope-a-dope" strategy) - what then unfolded is what made "The Greatest" indeed the greatest of all time - Ali would gather his inner resources and come roaring back often to win on a KO in the 14th or 15th round, otherwise to take the fight from his opponent on points by superior tactics and sheer lion-hearted force of will.

Let's not forget that Ali's era was marked by some of the greatest gladiators in boxing history - Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Shavers - yet he always had the edge.

If we can learn just one thing from the greatest boxer and one of the greatest human beings of all times it's simply this :

NEVER QUIT!

In this regard let us agree  with all his fans and admirers : "I am Ali!"
