Alex Bolumar's Red Bull Campaign: A Dynamic New Talent to Artistique

We’re thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented 3D illustrator and animator Alex Bolumar to our roster of artists. Known for his high-energy visuals and action-figure-inspired characters, Alex brings a fresh perspective to Artistique. His recent work on the Red Bull Winter Edition campaign is definitely one to look into.

In true Red Bull fashion, the brand releases a special Winter Edition of its energy drink each year, widely promoted across social media. Red Bull approached Alex Bolumar to capture the exhilarating energy of their Spanish athletes while embodying the brand’s signature style through a series of Instagram reels which he designed and animated.

Alex begins with simple character sketches before developing them into detailed 3D models. Throughout the process, he continuously references real-life imagery of each subject while allowing his distinctive action-figure aesthetic to take over.

The final stage showcases Alex’s mastery of colour and finishing techniques. Through meticulous 3D modelling and skilful use of After Effects, he achieves striking lighting effects and a signature plastic-like finish, bringing his characters to life.
