In 2023, the Township of Alberton completed renovations on the Millennium Park Ice Rink. The rink plays an important role in this tight-knit community, providing residents with a space to hold events.?
The Township invested more than $15,000 from the CCBF into renovations for the Millennium Park Ice Rink, including replacing rink board posts, repairing rink doors, and installing new rink capping and cap covers. As Alberton does not have a community hall, the ice rink is now the central hub for people to gather and host community events. More than 200 people attended Alberton’s 2024 Family Fun Day at the rink, enjoying ice skating, hot chocolate and refreshments.?
Improvements to Millennium Park Ice Rink have extended the life of this important community asset, providing Alberton residents with a space to connect with their neighbours and friends for years to come.
