The Canadian Wood Waste Recycling Business Group has had several Webex Wood debris business meetings with the Alberta Government, Agriculture and Forestry to Advocate for Policy Change?

Alberta Government, Agriculture and Forestry --- Proposed Policy amendment / Forestry Wood debris 

  • Governmental Forestry Wood debris policy incentive — the Alberta Government, Agriculture and Forestry to create/implement a provincial, Timber harvesting industry Ban on all open Wood Forestry debris Slash Burning -- implement a prohibition by incorporating a financial Fine penalty system for the non-compliant companies and governmental entities as per the harvesting Crown timber agreement
  • Alberta Governmental Forestry Wood debris policy incentive — to create a Forestry Wood debris recovery Fee system formulated on a per tree Stumpage bases to provide a financial incentive to the Forestry Contractor to harvest all Crown timber Forestry Wood debris for reuse applications
  • Alberta Governmental Forestry Wood debris recycling policy incentive — all Commercial Timber Forestry Wood debris recycling permits must be awarded to approved registered Wood recycling facilitators, contractors, agencies to assure all Forestry Wood debris is recycled for reuse applications
