Alberta and the Calgary Stampede!

Transistor the Van is trucking along quickly as we move this tour into our sixth province being Alberta!?We have stops in Medicine Hat (no not Moosejaw), Lethbridge, Calgary & Cochrane this week, with 7 stops in 5 days.

Transistor the Van has arrived into beautiful Alberta with nothing but sunshine all week. Our first stop was with Memory Lane Computers in Medicine Hat with Richard, Tara and the team. We were treated to some great burgers and conversation from folks of all ages, happy to see some little ones.

Lethbridge - Next up we where in Lethbridge with two stops, started the day at MicroAge Lethbridge with Bruce over a cup of coffee.

We went to summer school for the lunch hour at Lethbridge School Division with Jamie and the team from TLD Computers and CustomWorks - Divisions of London Drugs Limited. Good news we got a A+ for art class ??.

Calgary - This week timing was perfect at we rode into Calgary just in time for Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth...the Calgary Stampede. We began the day with a traditional Pancake breakfast at a Memory Express store in the SE of Calgary.

The tour moved over to the Contego Group on Thursday where we had live music from an amazing local band “The Kimberlites” plus pulled pork sandwiches and all the fixings from Big T's BBQ.

We finished up the week with an early open house with coffee and snacks with The iTeam in downtown Calgary.?The iTeam also had a throw a pie at your favorite (or least favorite?) iTeam employee, with all raised funds going to the charity dear to Tech Tour “The Terry Fox Foundation”.?

We finished the week in Cochrane, which is located 18 km west of the Calgary along Highway 1A, as you drive towards the Rockies.?We had the pleasure of meeting up with Tremar Computer Solutions where we had a ice cream party for their brand new office.
