Albert Einstein's Planet: What is Our Planet?
"Our task must be to widen our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its entire beauty." -- Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein's vision of our planet included all living beings (7.2Billion and counting), embodying a profound sense of universal compassion (10 to the Power 9). In contrast, our circle of compassion often appears much smaller like a few thousand? (10 to the power 3 or 4). It tends to be limited to our nuclear and extended family (10 to the power 1), along with a handful of people who have touched our lives—perhaps around 1,000 individuals. Expanding this circle to encompass all living creatures can seem like an overwhelming, or even an impossible?task.
We have felt that way too. However, as "think global act local" says we can start small and gradually widen our compassion, one person at a time. Each individual we encounter deals with their own struggles, often rooted in themselves with warts and all - insecurities and fears related to money, health, or relationships—which account for about 80% of our personal challenges.

By living in awareness of this shared human experience, we can begin to expand our circle of compassion. When we truly see the suffering of another and respond with empathy, we take the first steps toward a broader, more inclusive sense of community.
Imagine.. what if we all committed to this practice? Over time, our collective circle of compassion could grow - either linearly or exponentially. This gradual expansion might one day align us with the universal responsibility espoused by visionaries like the Dalai Lama and Sadhguru.
So, let’s start today. Let’s widen our circle of compassion, one person at a time, and contribute to a more compassionate and interconnected?world.
While we all have one world we live in, won't it be fun if we interconnect my world and your world into our world and eventually into "the world". Just like it takes a village to raise a child, it takes all of us to get to the world!
