Alaska Commercial Company Opens 37th Store to Ensure Food Security in Anaktuvuk Pass

In partnership with Nunamiut Corporation, the store aims to provide essential food stability for Anaktuvuk Pass and surrounding communities while upholding the service, quality, and freshness that other AC stores deliver. The store officially opens on April 15th.

AC’s recent partnership with Nunamiut Corporation developed, in part, from a request for AC to fulfill essential community needs. The store opening marks a significant milestone for the community, ensuring future access to groceries and general merchandise items. Alaska Commercial Company is committed to maintaining product availability with nutritious options and high-quality standards in Anaktuvuk Pass.

AC Anaktuvuk Pass will prioritize customer service, community engagement, and sustainability. The store will employ many local members of the community and will provide a welcoming space for gathering to enjoy annual events, promotions, and giveaways. The new store will also carry general merchandise items to include Town Name apparel that has been specifically designed for Anaktuvuk Pass.
