Following an incredible 2023 where we kicked off many landmark projects, it’s time to strap in for another thrilling journey into 2024.

So many exciting developments have taken place in the last month across the automotive division, most noteworthy being the Al-Futtaim Group’s historic collaboration with COP28. This was also an event where we brought together a power-packed line-up of automotive and sustainability leaders from across the world, for the first time.

We gave COP28 visitors a preview of the powerful e-mobility ecosystem we are building in the region, including latest EV models such as Polestar 3, Volvo C40 Recharge and BYD HAN; alongside Charge2Moov charging technology, and the groundbreaking electric construction equipment - Volvo ECR25 electric compact excavator.

We brought together on-stage the senior-most representatives of our partner brands, alongside senior leaders from Al-Futtaim Group and Al-Futtaim Automotive, in our conference sessions discussing net-zero transition, youth empowerment and circular economy.

Engaging audiences at E-Mobility Zone, Dubai Festival City Mall

We embarked on a nine-week campaign of raising public awareness on green mobility. Each week, the mall stand featured one of the electric or hybrid brands from our portfolio, giving people a chance to interactively learn about green mobility technologies, and each brand’s sustainability vision.

MoU Signing With UAE University & Emirates Center for Mobility Research

To empower young talent for automotive jobs of the future, Al-Futtaim Automotive signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE University to jointly engage in scientific and academic research activities and training programmes.

Collaborated with ENOC Group & DEWA to launch new green hydrogen station in the UAE

Al-Futtaim Automotive will provide four hydrogen-powered fuel cell Toyota Mirai vehicles for testing and real-world use, pioneering new research and trials for green hydrogen.

Lighting Up Dubai In Celebration - Spectacular Drone Show

We celebrated the 52nd UAE National Day and our COP28 Partnership with a ?battery-powered drone show at Festival Bay, Dubai Festival City Mall. An awe-inspiring show, a fitting celebration for a historic partnership.

In collaboration with world-renowned climate education NGO - Climate Fresk, we kicked off a series of highly interactive, informative workshops offering automotive employees a deeper understanding of the climate challenges, solutions and actions needed.

Al-Futtaim Toyota Inspires Students To Reimagine Sustainable Mobility Through Art?

We rallied students from Deira International School and Universal American School to show us their vision of a dream sustainable car in the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. In a fitting finale to the COP28 journey, we celebrated the contest and the winners in a high-energy event at The Zone by Al-Futtaim, City Walk.

It was a truly awe-inspiring moment as students displayed their creativity, their eco-consciousness and passion in making sustainable mobility an everyday reality.

UAE’s technology and communications titan, e&, has committed to electrifying their fleet in collaboration with Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Company. The landmark partnership will see 100 BYD ATTO 3 vehicles being integrated into the fleet of e& - setting a new precedent for electric mobility within the UAE.

A pivotal collaboration with one of the nation’s largest organisations and a concrete leap towards the UAE’s Net-Zero 2050 strategic roadmap and Al-Futtaim Automotive’s mission to spearhead the nation’s green mobility transition.

A groundbreaking alliance that propels FAMCO KSA to the forefront of Saudi Arabia's commercial vehicle landscape in Central Region. FAMCO KSA has inked a strategic partnership with Ashok Leyland, a global giant and the fourth largest bus manufacturer worldwide. This collaboration marks a major milestone in FAMCO KSA’s roadmap to rapid business expansion in the Kingdom.

Delivering quality service is the hallmark of Al-Futtaim Automotive, and this was further reinforced with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification received by our company in Doha, Qatar.

DOMASCO received the prestigious certification from DNV Business Assurance B.V., a world inspection and certification services group under RVA Netherlands. This certification covers the sales, service and repair of all Domasco managed brands including Honda, Volvo, GAC, King Long, CMC, Volare, Linde, Yanmar, watches & electronics business.

FAMILY-FIRST: TEAM UPDATES

Al-Futtaim Industrial Equipment wraps up 2023 with a triumphant team spirit.

Our industrial equipment and commercial vehicles division bid adieu to an incredibly successful 2023 with a team-building event.

Over 200 employees from FAMCO UAE, Toyota Material Handling, HINO (UAE), FAMCO KSA (Saudi), and DOMASCO (Qatar) came together in a memorable evening, celebrating the key wins of 2023 and exploring the business roadmap for 2024.

The event also celebrated best team performers with 37 employees from across the UAE, KSA and Qatar being rewarded with certificates and vouchers.?

At one of the world’s largest technology events - Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, Intel has committed to drive the AI revolution into automotive through its new family of AI-enhanced vehicle system-on-chips (SoCs). The new chips feature incredible new AI superpowers to drive the transformation of next-generation vehicles. A demo showed 12 advanced workloads – including generative AI, e-mirrors, high-definition video conference calling, all running simultaneously. The demo shows how automakers can consolidate legacy electronic control unit (ECU) architecture to improve efficiency, manageability and scalability – all while integrating their own custom solutions and AI applications.
