White Papers

AKFI is unveiling Phase II of the "Consistent ESG Requirements: The Key to an Efficient and Sustainable Supply Chain White Paper."

Costs tied to supply chain sustainability and ESG reporting vary based on a company's maturity, supply chain complexity, and investment capabilities. Businesses with foresight view sustainability as an opportunity, ready to invest upfront for long-term gains.

Expenses encompass data collection, sustainable practices, supplier coordination, staffing, reporting, capital investments, and opportunity costs. Despite these costs, proactive firms prioritize sustainability, reaping benefits in financial performance, reputation, and customer loyalty.

AKFI also contributed to the Digital Transformation Sustainability section of IEEE's P2023?/D2.0 "Draft Standard for Digital Transformation and Framework," addressing scalability, system interfaces, and security challenges in digital transformation. This framework guides digital evolution, usage, and security, shaping a sustainable future.

New European Union Legislation: Are you ready for the The Digital Services Act: A New Era for Digital Transformation and Stakeholder Protection?

The Digital Services Act (DSA) is a landmark piece of legislation that will have a significant impact on the way online platforms operate in the European Union. The DSA aims to create a safer and more transparent online environment for users, while also protecting the rights of businesses and other stakeholders.

One of the key provisions of the DSA is the requirement for online platforms to be more transparent about their content moderation practices. This will give users more control over what they see online, and it will also help to hold platforms accountable for the spread of harmful content. The DSA also includes provisions to protect users from illegal and harmful content, such as hate speech and disinformation. This will help to create a more inclusive and safe online environment for everyone.

In addition to protecting users, the DSA also includes provisions to protect businesses and other stakeholders. For example, the DSA requires platforms to be more transparent about how they rank content in search results. This will help to ensure that businesses have a fair chance to reach potential customers. The DSA is a significant step forward in the regulation of online platforms. It is expected to have a positive impact on the safety, transparency, and fairness of the online environment.

The DSA could also have a significant impact on supply chains. For example, the DSA's requirement for platforms to be more transparent about their algorithms could make it easier for businesses to identify and address supply chain risks. Additionally, the DSA's prohibition on the sale of counterfeit goods could help to protect businesses from fraud and financial losses.

About AKFI

We believe that the future of our planet and our businesses demands connecting Sustainability, ESG, and Digital Transformation.

By combining resources, sharing knowledge, and collaborating on projects,?AKFI?consortium members aim?to spark innovation and tackle challenges across these linked fields. The AKFI Industry Consortium is a collaborative alliance of organizations working together to connect Sustainability, ESG, and Digital Transformation in a profitable way.

One of the core principles of AKFI is the concept of actionable knowledge. Actionable knowledge is information that can be used to make decisions and take specific actions. It is relevant, accurate, and timely, and can be used to solve problems, make decisions, or take other forms of action. This type of knowledge is often distinguished from other forms of knowledge, such as information that is interesting but not immediately relevant, or knowledge that is only theoretical and not immediately applicable.
