Akamai’s Life Online Campaign Wins Two MarCom 2022 Platinum Awards
Last year Akamai rediscovered our purpose and mission? (https://www.akamai.com/blog/news/the-power-of-why-rediscovering-akamais-purpose).? For the marketing organization, one way of advancing our purpose was to find bold ways to communicate not just what we do, but what we make possible every day for our customers, entire industries — and life online.??
As you know, last fall we launched an integrated global marketing campaign, the Life Online campaign, to do just that. Our goal was to spotlight Akamai’s market leadership by attracting, inspiring, and engaging new and existing customers, partners, influencers and investors.?
This campaign included multiple elements — customer stories, thought leadership content, an innovation contest, a TV spot (our first in 20 years!), and exclusive events — activated across multiple channels, including digital, social, and billboards in NYC, London, Brazil, and Tokyo.?
Thanks to the hard work and creative innovation from the team, we are excited to share the Life Online Campaign was recently selected as a MarCom 2022 Platinum Award Winner in two categories:?

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. Over 6,000 entries came from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers.
MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, consisting of several thousand creative professionals. The Association looks for companies whose talents exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.??
MarCom’s Platinum Award is presented to those entries judged to be among the most outstanding entries in the competition, recognizing them for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity, and resourcefulness.
