2023 has been a year marked by growth and expansion with new product releases as well as new business and technology partners and we’re proud of our team’s individual achievements and continuous work towards building a seamless cloud-data platform, delivering best-in-class services to our clients and partners as well as leading the conversation when it comes to data innovation in asset management.
Here’s Aiviq’s year wrap-up, showcasing companywide recent business and product transformation.
Customer Services:
- Implemented a digital Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) Tool to track Aiviq Net Promoter Scores (NPS) across all customer stakeholders, already helping to shape our roadmap.
- Successfully closed over 900 customer service tickets related to data queries, product enhancements and new data feeds, demonstrating our focus on delivering against our customer Service Level Agreements.
- Developed a dedicated 'Admin Portal,' allowing our data experts to manage and configure advanced platform features such as rules, reconciliation reports and data quality algorithms at the flick of a switch and with fine grain control.
?Pre-sales & Onboarding:?
- Built data anonymisation algorithms and automation pipelines to showcase the full breadth of our global client data offering in our demo environments with representative data without breaching security or privacy policies.
- Automated and matured pre-sales processes around an internally designed ChatGPT-based RFP response tool to help prospects understand and evaluate our market-leading offering quickly and accurately.
- Overhauled our core client contracts (ASPs) to simplify roles and responsibilities, and standardise core services across our growing number of product modules.
Technology:
- ?Implemented Azure Sentinel to increase threat detection and incident response capabilities, contributing significantly to our ISO 27001 re-certification.
- Implemented advanced, horizontal scaling cloud orchestrator and auto-recovery systems to bolster platform reliability to maintain high availability across regions as Aiviq supports more global teams.
- As part of project Bedrock, significantly optimised processing performance and cloud hosting costs, enabling reliable, efficient T+1 reporting for global firm-wide use cases for the first time.
Product:
- As part of project Bedrock, rearchitected our core AUM & Flow rules engine to deliver daily incremental processing, reducing publishing times for daily flows and holdings by over 50% by leveraging best-in-class technologies, including advanced database change-tracking and ADF pipelines.
- Launched TermsCloud, Aiviq’s Agreement data management app focused on digitising client and distributor agreements, legal entity reporting, financial terms data capture and simplifying complex fee revenue and rebate calculations.
- Delivered 15 documented product releases, including major updates to the platform’s core rules engine: now calculating AUM waterfalls, inferring flows from holdings, globally reconciling net flows and reconciling to fund accountant feeds to validate TA position keeping for Finance functions.?
Engineering:
- Leveraged the power of GraphQL, modular configurable components, and modern UI libraries to revolutionise the Aiviq user experience around a new React-based interface, creating a seamless, unified UX for mastering and managing client data, bringing an order of magnitude increase in speed of delivery of client value.
- Built on Aiviq's 'Operations as Code' approach, implementing containerised builds across applications via our automated DevOps pipelines, vastly reducing environment setup time, time spent debugging issues and enabling advanced orchestration and scaling across the platform.
- Automated how we deploy release candidates to customer environments, reducing deployment effort by 90% and minimising opportunities for human error. A critical enabling in being able to ship 15 product releases within the year to customers.
Quality Assurance:
- Implemented a new QA automation framework using Selenium WebDriver and Specflow and based on BDD principles and detailed, documented test scenarios. Automation packs now fully integrate with Aiviq's DevOps processes and Jira and are deployed to all customer environments to streamline development and increase customers' confidence in releases.
- Established and expanded our Quality Assurance function, embedding standardised methods and completing documentation of artefacts for knowledge repositories.
- Optimised 'Costs to Production' and improved customer satisfaction through deep involvement in feature refinement and earlier defect detection during manual testing.
Sales & Marketing

Other Aiviq-wide initiatives:
- Continued innovation in how Artificial Intelligence can be securely harnessed to improve customer outcomes. This included the development of an OpenAI-powered ChatBot, AI-via, for interacting with client AUM & Flow datasets in natural language within our user interface and a centralised RFP Copilot with access to Aiviq’s full knowledge base.
- Aiviq’s investment in finding and retaining top talent has also been a priority throughout the year, with multiple dedicated research spikes, numerous industry certifications being achieved across teams and continued investment in role-specific success pathways for all teams.
- Finally, Aiviq has been focusing on sustainability goals and understanding how we can reduce the carbon footprint associated with processing some of our industry’s largest and most complex datasets in the Cloud. Having launched real-time carbon monitoring dashboards across all our infrastructure, we are now looking at how sustainability goals can be considered by design in our roadmap for 2024.
A lot can happen in a year and here are just some of the milestones our teams have achieved during the past 12 months, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to delivering a cutting-edge global technology platform for asset managers looking to mutualise the cost and solve common industry problems together.
The Aiviq team wishes our clients, technology partners and collaborators a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you all in 2024. ???
