?Tip of the Week
“AI Hallucination”: AI hallucinations are incorrect or misleading information that AI models create. These errors can be caused by a variety of factors, including insufficient training data, incorrect assumptions made by the model, or biases in the data used to train the model.
Graph of the Week
According to a recent Axios-Seven Letter survey, over half of communication professionals are indifferent to whether their colleagues use AI for work tasks. About 25% feel more positively towards colleagues upon discovering their use of AI, although 20% view them less favourably.
Generally, professionals hold neutral or positive perceptions of companies that integrate AI-enhanced features into their offerings.
Quote of the Week
I’ve been at OpenAI for almost a year now. In that time, I’ve trained a lot of generative models. [...] It’s becoming awfully clear to me that these models are truly approximating their datasets to an incredible degree. [...] What this manifests as is – trained on the same dataset for long enough, pretty much every model with enough weights and training time converges to the same point. [...] This is a surprising observation! It implies that model behavior is not determined by architecture, hyperparameters, or optimizer choices. It’s determined by your dataset, nothing else. Everything else is a means to an end in efficiently delivery compute to approximating that dataset.”

What You Need to Know This Week
Autodesk has launched a groundbreaking generative AI research project named "Bernini," aimed at revolutionising the architectural design process. This initiative, drawing inspiration from the legendary artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini, leverages AI to explore new possibilities in design creation, significantly reducing the time architects spend on iterative processes. For more details on the project, visit Autodesk News.
Project Bernini utilises Autodesk's advanced machine learning algorithms to offer architects a suite of tools that automatically generate design variations based on specific parameters set by the user. This not only enhances creativity but also enables more efficient decision-making by allowing architects to evaluate multiple options quickly.

The project also emphasizes sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient solutions into its generative designs. By integrating these elements, Bernini helps architects meet modern environmental standards without compromising on aesthetics or innovation.
Autodesk's vision for Bernini is not just to automate parts of the design process but to fundamentally shift how architectural solutions are developed, making high-quality design accessible and sustainable. As the project evolves, it promises to be setting new standards for what is possible in architectural design with AI. Additional information can be found on Digital Construction Today.
