Airtham: US "DO-NOT-BUY" List December 2023
Every month, Airtham's AI-Analyst examines all of the listed companies' data and produces a 1-year forecast. Companies that are assigned a negative outlook are excluded from any portfolio that Airtham generates. Backtests have shown that merely removing companies from a portfolio that have a poor outlook can improve returns. Applying the same to an index like the S&P 500 improves the index's returns as well.
The companies with a negative outlook belonging to the S&P 500 Top100 are shown below. These companies are good candidates to avoid from a portfolio until the outlook improves. The list includes 43 companies that have a negative 1-year outlook.
Despite strong GDP numbers, more than 40% of SP100 companies have retained their negative outlook. It is noteworthy that companies like Apple, Tesla, Nvidia that are part of the “Magnificient 7” are now tagged with negative outlooks.
