July typically means nothing but those lazy-hazy-crazy days of summer - but not here at AirReps! As the height of the summer season comes to a close, and we look forward to August, there’s a lot on the horizon.?

As we teased in the last edition of the AirReps Breeze, while every summer is a busy season here at AirReps, this summer has been more exciting than the rest, as our AirReps team is growing like never before. So let’s take a look back at our July - and look forward to the excitement of August.?

21st Annual AirReps Expo - August 4, 2023

It’s the final countdown - the 21st annual AirReps Expo is just days away! The premiere HVAC event of the summer in the Pacific Northwest, our Expo, is a full day of learning and connection.?

The day begins with the trade show, where all are welcome to see the most innovative in HVAC from our brand partners and lines - and the trade show is just the start of an amazing day.?

Our Engineering Summit is back for the second year in a row, and is an amazing opportunity for new and young engineers to learn in a hands-on environment while connecting with experts in the HVAC industry.

With three speakers sharing their expertise on innovative topics from Enhancing Space Conditioning with Innovative Hydronic Terminal Units, Design Practices for Air-to-Water & Water-to-Water Heat Pumps, and Psychrometrics, there’s plenty to learn at the Engineering Summit!?

In addition, of course, the crown jewel of our AirReps Expo, the Golf Invitational is back this year for another day of friendly competition and connection.

InControl + Integrated Systems Acquisition

July was another month of unprecedented growth for team AirReps, as we welcomed two new brands into our AirReps community. With the acquisition of InControl and Integrated Systems, we feel poised and confident that we will be able to better serve future and existing clients.

On July 10th, 2023, AirReps, a division of Daikin, was excited to announce the acquisition of?“Integrated Systems and Controls” (Integrated), and?InControl.

Integrated is nationally recognized in OEM Startup and warranty support services. The company is known for working on some of the most challenging sites, with some of our most complex applications.

InControl primarily represents controls and energy management products, specializing in VFDs and metering. The additional product lines and controls support are complimentary to the current products that AirReps offers.

“Both companies will greatly enhance the capabilities of AirReps and will allow us to provide a more comprehensive array of services for our customers,” shares Michael Hawkins , President of AirReps.

The new combination of these companies will provide a one-stop shop for AirReps clients: more premier products, controls support, start-up, and long-term maintenance options.

We are looking forward to presenting our additional products and services to our customers!

Flow Control Open House Recap

Our annual Flow Control Open House was a success once again! This event is the perfect fusion of networking, HVAC innovation, and of course, fun. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy a wine tasting alongside delicious barbecue, all while learning about innovation in HVAC.

Open to all in the Pacific Northwest HVAC community, we were thrilled to work with our partners at Flow Control to showcase the latest and greatest from their line up. Jeff Creighton, Director of Engineering at Flow Control shares more on this exciting event.

When we host visitors at our DeltaPValve factory in Woodinville, WA, we highlight the “hands-on” experience that only comes from touring the actual assembly and testing facility. One of the favorite parts of each tour is the flow test stand demonstration.

This tends to provide the “Ah-Ha!” moment for understanding how a pressure independent DeltaPValve operates in real-time. In production, every DeltaPValve is flow tested for shutoff, pressure independent accuracy, max flow and a full flow curve, and the demonstration brings that process to reality. Speeding the pump up as fast as possible and watching the DeltaPValve’s pressure regulator respond immediately to maintain stable flow is difficult to conceptualize in any other setting.

Flow Control’s 30+ years of designing, testing, and applying the DeltaPValve in heating and chilled water systems around the world has also lead to a breadth of knowledge about how to deliver precise control and reliable operation. We talk through the different available pressure independent control valve designs and options, again with a hands-on approach so it’s easy to view the different products side-by-side. The differences in design and construction speak for themselves and the DeltaPValve’s 10-year warranty and superior accuracy easily stand out.

We’re always glad to show visitors around the factory, whether just to answer a few questions or for a planned event. We have a lot of pride in the DeltaPValve and love to show it off!
