AHHHH…

This one made me laugh

I returned from a trip some weeks ago, and of course, after we landed, I was grateful to God for a safe flight.

I rolled my tiny box to the parking lot.

I had just ordered an Uber, and I was waiting for the driver.

The price on Uber was N10,000 from the mainland to the island

I had no choice so I booked it that way.

When the guy came and saw me, he greeted me, offered to carry my box, and we went to the car.

He then told me, “Madam, it’s 20k o” Ahah, I was shocked

How did 10k Suddenly turn to 20k?

Then I asked myself, Could it be the way I dressed that day?

You might have your opinion, but I certainly believe the way I looked that day influenced such a ridiculous price increase.

AHAH!

After he said that 20k thing, guess what I did?

Trust me, I channeled the pidgin language in me and he reduced it to 12k ????????

In my mind, I told myself, If you could take 12k before, why tell me 20k?

Shaking my head!

Have you experienced such a scenario before?

A situation in which the way you look makes people think of you in certain ways.

Yep, because it’s how human beings work. They are very visual!

The reason I shared that story with you is that I wanted to remind you that how you look can influence people’s perceptions of you.

A philosopher once said, “There is no truth; there is only perception.”

And even if this philosopher’s statement might look a bit flawed to some extent, especially spiritually, if you look at it deeper, there is some form of sense in it.

In the sense that it's what I perceive of you that I see as true. Until you or someone else can convince me otherwise, that is my truth.

In most cases, you might not have the luxury of time or the opportunity to convince or explain something else to everyone who perceives you in a contrary way, especially when it’s an online or virtual connection.

So get it right from the onset

I felt a deep conviction to share this because I believe ...??

A lot of you are scaring away a certain caliber of people who should be attracted to you and your craft because of the way, both you and the craft are showing up online.

As God lifts you, he wants to elevate your perception in the sight of men because that is when you can reap the fruits of the lifting in this earthly realm, so partner with him as he lifts you in your career and business.

In 2024, look like what you say you are!

Look like the value you say you have or at least sound like it!

But remember, before people can hear you, they see you!

Sometimes people are more attracted to your photos and how you present yourself before they read your captions

Be wise
