??June 2024 marked the completion of Airbus' ambitious BelugaXL program with the entry of the sixth and final BelugaXL aircraft into service.
??This wide-body, supersized cargo plane serves a vital role within Airbus. Nicknamed "Super Transporter" by Airbus itself, the BelugaXL ferries outsized aircraft parts between various Airbus production facilities across Europe.
??The final BelugaXL joins its five siblings, effectively doubling the fleet's capacity compared to the previous BelugaST model. This boost in capability is crucial for Airbus as it ramps up production of their ever-popular A350 XWB family of long-haul airliners.
??While the first BelugaXL entered service in early 2020, the sixth aircraft served a special role as the program's test platform since its first flight in 2018. Now, all six BelugaXLs stand ready to take on the heavy lifting tasks that keep Airbus production humming.
