Airbnb, Inc. Leads Resy's $13M Series A

Today we announced the full breadth of our partnership with Airbnb. Previously we had teased a commercial agreement to integrate Resy into Airbnb's Trips platform, their broad and bold strategy to redefine the experience of city exploration. The news today is around an investment in our business. They join existing investors RSE Ventures and Lerer Hippeau Ventures in a $13M equity round. First Data also participated. We believe this will be a defining strategic raise for Resy. These investors are helping us become the software that powers — and empowers — hospitality around the world.

With Airbnb, we’re committed to building a product that allows anyone, anywhere, anytime to live like a local. The partnership will evolve over time, but we're exited to be debuting the first phase of it in early Q2'17. By the end of the year, you'll be able to use Resy via Airbnb in more than 20 cities around the world.

Resy first launched, in New York City, in June 2014 with the simple and somewhat blunt idea that the business of running a popular restaurant is broken, especially for primetime seating periods. We're now live in 50 markets and we work with close to 1,000 restaurants, offering them mission-critical operations software for reservations, dining room operations and CRM. Restaurants like Union Square Cafe, Chez Panisse and Rustic Canyon trust us with their guests. I'm humbled by this trust and I thank all of our restaurants for their partnership.

Last month, we seated 1.4 million guests. We're just getting started.
