Airbnb design experience
Sambuca di Sicilia is a small town in the province of Agrigento, whose Arab origin are still clearly visible in its urban architecture and traditions. A place where time seems to have stopped and life moves slowly.
To combat the abandonment and promote the local economy, the municipality launched an innovative project, putting up for sale abandoned houses in need of maintenance. Airbnb purchased an apartment, later renovated by the architectural firm Didea.
Trying to preserve the most fascinating and distinctive features of the apartment, like the wooden ceilings and the local stone walls, the architects organized the spaces in a multifunctional way, adding modern furnishings and using vibrant colours.
MDF Italia collections, with their minimalist and timeless design, seamlessly fit into the flat.
Tense table and Flow chairs find their natural place in the kitchen, characterised by bright colours. With their black finishes, Tense and Flow chair give a touch of refinement and elegance, ensuring the maximum of functionality.
Neil Textile chair puts together aesthetics and craftsmanship, while its light architecture and the soft cover in red colour provide high levels of comfort.
Flow stool, with its enveloping and ergonomic seat, perfectly fits into the small wooden alcove. Its modern profile integrates well with the surrounding, characterised by clear lines and a warm colour palette.
Exclusive and cosy, this charming apartment in Sambuca di Sicilia is a symbol of renewed life and enduring beauty, inviting visitors to experience the charm of tradition reimagined.
